European title for Kostner and Plushenko

25 January 2010   -   Carolina Kostner (ITA) has won in Tallinn (Estonia) the European title Figure skating. Kostner was the strongest in a competition with 40 Ladies from 31 countries. She won the Short Program with 65.80 points and the Free Skating with 107.77 points, what gave her a Total Score of 173.46. It is her third European title; she won in 2007 and 2008 and won the silver medal in 2009. The 2nd place in the Championship went to Laura Lepistö (FIN) who was last years European Champion. Lepistö became 3rd in the Short Program with 92.96 points and 3rd in the Free Skating with 103.41 points what gave her a Total Score of 167.37 points. The 3rd place in the General classification was for Jelene Gedevanishvili from Georgia. She made a big jump to the top after an 8th place in 2007, a 7th place in 2008 and a 27th place at the European Championships of 2009. Gedevanishvili scored in her Short Program a 4th place with 60.82 points and in her Free Skating a 2nd place with 103.72 points. This gave her a Total Score of 164.54 points.
   
    In the Men’s competition the title went to Jevgeni Plushenko (RUS) with a Total Score of 255.39 points. Stephane Lambiel (SWI) became 2nd with 238.54 points and Brian Joubert(FRA) 3rd with 236.45 points
   
    The Ice Dancing was won by the couple Oksana Domnina and Maxim Shabalin (RUS) with a Total Score of 199.25 points. The 2nd place was for Federica Faiella and Massimo Scalli (ITA) with a Total Score of 195.86 points and the 3rd place was for Jana Khokhlova and Sergei Novitski (RUS) with a Total Score of 189.67 points.
   
    The European title for Pairs was won by Yuko Kavaguti and Alexander Smirnov (RUS) with a Total Score of 213.15 points. The 2nd place was for Aliona Savchenko and Robin Szolkowy (GER) with 211.72 points and the 3rd place was for Maria Mukhortova and Maxim Trankov (RUS) with 202,03 points.

    PB-Event is a Dutch company that is specialized in Sound, Telecommunication and Timing equipment. They are also Producers for big and small sport events. Moreover, they have worked for many years in Figure Skating.
    PB-Event is doing jobs all over the world. They have worked for the Grand Prix Track & Field in Mexico, the Grand Prix Thales FBK Games in the Netherlands and for the Grand Prix Track & Field of Shanghai as well. In the Netherlands they supply the technical equipment for many (sport) events. Contracted by the Rabobank cycling team, they have gone for a many years to the Tour de France. Their Telecommunication equipment has been used at the Olympic Games of Salt Lake City and also at the Olympic Games of Torino.
